This is my favourite cake topper I’ve made so far. It’s just so cute and I was very pleased with how she turned out. You can easily make a basic cake look great by making your own cake topper or figurine. All I did was copy of a photo on the internet. It’s much easier than it looks.

The fondant is made from my DIY roll-out icing recipe and naturally coloured to suit each part. The whole Hello Kitty! is edible including the bracelet which is just silver pearls (natural colours and flavours of course!). I get most of my decorations from Coles but find the bigger stores have a better variety.

The cake is a chocolate mud cake. You could also add another tier if it was a bigger party – not only would it make the cake look more ‘grand’ it would feed more people 😉

This cake topper can be made in advance a few days before your event. Just store it in an air tight container until you need it. Don’t put it in the fridge or it will sweat.

Have fun and experiment. It looks hard but you won’t know if you can do it until you give it a go! 🙂
