Once you’ve tasted this yummy home made custard you’ll never buy store-bought custard again! It’s so creamy and rich and very easy to make. I usually make a double batch as it goes very quickly in my household!
3 Cups Milk
1 Teaspoon Vanilla Essence
3 Tablespoons Cornflour
3 Tablespoons Caster Sugar
1. Whisk eggs, milk and cornflour together in a saucepan over low heat until smooth.
2. Continue whisking on stove top until custard becomes thick and creamy (this could take up to 10 minutes but it is worth it!)
3. Remove from heat and whisk in vanilla and sugar.
Note: Do not add sugar whilst on heat as it will stick to the pan and burn.
You can add cocoa at the end for a chocolate custard (approximately 2-3 teaspoons).
