There are a lot of things I love about my kitchen. But then there are lot of things that I don’t like about my kitchen too including the colour of the cupboards (we are changing them to white very soon) and my corner cupboard that is very hard to get things out of when you need them, especially in a hurry.
The ‘awkward cupboard’ is in the corner of the kitchen and you have to reach around to get something out and hope that everything else doesn’t come out with it!
After a few smashed medicines I decided it was time to figure out a way to keep it tidy whilst functional.
Up on the top shelf we have a basket of duplicate items I buy in bulk such as vitamins and medicines. This basket isn’t used very often. The next shelf houses two turntables. They are a great way to have your medicines or items at hand without losing anything at the back of the cupboard. They were about $7 each from Kmart.
Also from Kmart (yes it is my FAVOURITE shop!) was the hanging basket to utilise lost space in a tall cupboard.
On the bottom we have an area for our Soda Stream, toaster and kettle and can neatly tuck them away and pull down a shutter when not in use.
So, no more trying to reach over other items to get to something at the back. Just a twirl of the turntable and it’s right there! 🙂
